Q. If a spell (for instance Stupefy) targeted by Riposte gets countered (for instance by playing Defy), does the unit targeted by Riposte gains additional might?
When Riposte resolves, the target spell (Stupefy) does no longer exists and thus its energy cost cannot be computed. Riposte won’t give additional might to the targeted unit.
