Bone Skewer
UNL #139
Erratas & Clarifications
Q. My enemy controls BF1 (has a hidden Bone Skewer) and BF2. I move Unit1 that has a move trigger to BF2. My enemy reacts to the move item with the hidden Bone Skewer. It resolves and the enemy pulls Unit2 from my hand to BF1.
- Which battlefield would start showdown/combat?
- If BF2 was open instead, which battlefield would start showdown/combat?
A. In both scenarios, a showdown would be staged in both battlefields because I contest both (323.8.), even if combat becomes staged after (323.12.). As a result, I have the choice to decide which battlefield starts a showdown/combat once the chain is empty
Q: I play <<Bone Skewer>> and target a battlefield I control. My enemy reveals their hand and I choose their <<Clockwork Keeper>>. When it is played, does my enemy get to draw 1 for free?
Rules for Context - Card text of “ignoring any and all costs”, 356.1.b.
A: Yes.
Card text now reads as:
[Hidden] (Hide now for [A] to react with later for [0].)
Choose a battlefield. An opponent reveals their hand. You may choose a unit from it. They play that unit to that battlefield, ignoring any and all costs. If they do, then do this: [Stun] it. (It doesn't deal combat damage this turn.)
